Always singing...whether you liked it or not!

I am born and raised in the wonderful, historical, 'Bomber County' of Lincolnshire, raised on good music and in a theatre based household, it really is no surprise I ended up where I am today singing as far as my passport will take me!

Ever since I can remember I have been singing, I just love it, it feeds my soul. I found this wonderful world of 1940s & 1950s music after my Mum bought tickets to see The Jive Aces in 2015 and from that moment onwards my life changed (I know it sounds cheesy but bear with me!) My clothing changed, the only thing in my house that is modern is our TV and you can even see me holding up traffic in my 1964 Triumph Herald Estate. My music tastes broadened and it led me to find that Jazz, Jive & Swing really is my thing.

I started taking gigs alongside my day job in 2018 and I was very fortunate to be able to leave my job and become a full time performer in 2022, not an easy feat considering we were still building up the Entertainment industry after Covid 19. 

I now count myself very lucky for the opportunities I have been given, I have played in some incredible venues and at some fantastic events, even singing with the band that started it all, The Jive Aces. I also have a band called 'Charlotte Porter & The Hi-Rollers', in it's 3rd reincarnation, my Husband Terry, best mate Gray and we decided to share our passion of Rock n Roll and create the Hi-Rollers, you can find out more about us in the tab below!
